KORBA/ In line with the nationwide Swachhata Pakhwada initiative which started from 16th May-31st May 2024, NTPC Korba has been actively conducting several cleanliness drives and campaigns aiming at the importance of cleanliness and hygiene among human minds to promote a healthier future for India.
On 17.05.2024, under Shramdaan activities, cleanliness activities were conducted at the workplace, and useful and unusable items were sorted and arranged at their respective places following the 5s practices of NTPC. Apart from this, the area around the Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 02 School and Hospital premises in the township premises witnessed the cleanliness drives.
On 18.05.2024, a cleanliness campaign was conducted at the bus and bike stand near NTPC Plant Gate No. 3 and both these places were tidy after the drive. Also, the surrounding gate area was cleaned up under the campaign activities. The workmen enthusiastically participated in working towards the goal of a Swachh Bharat
On 19.05.2024, a mass cleanliness drive was conducted in the vegetable market of the NTPC Korba Township. The primary objective of the cleanliness drive was to increase awareness regarding the pivotal role of cleanliness and hygiene in safeguarding public health. By engaging in hands-on cleaning activities, the participants aimed to instil a sense of ownership and accountability among community members towards maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.
Collective efforts not only revitalized the NTPC Korba plant and township premises but also rejuvenated the surrounding areas, transforming them into inviting spaces conducive to well-being.
