Smt. Roli Khanna, President Maitri Mahila Samiti on her very first day of joining NTPC Korba interacted with the GEM Girls of NTPC Korba and distributed night suits to the 123 GEM Girls.
On 25 May 2024, Smt. Roli Khanna, President Maitri Mahila Samiti visited EDC, Korba, along with Smt. Kasturi Maitra, Smt. Mita Bhattacharya, Smt. Kirti Sathe and other members of Maitri Mahila Samiti (MMS). The convoy interacted with the GEM Girls and by and large, educated them to empower them to make decisions about different aspects of their life.
All the GEM girls were gifted night suits as their comfortable nightwear and the smile on their faces was worth a watch. The Maitri Mahila Samiti made the girls feel special about themselves.
Their inclusive participation with the GEM girls encourages them to be better and better day by day and be a better person in the world and march forward to strive for success and happiness the girls make a difference.
On 27 May 2024, NTPC Korba conducted a Parent-Teacher Meeting as a Sunday Practice for the GEM Girls of the Batch 2024. This interaction between the teachers and the parents helps to talk about the progress the GEM Girl is making.
The parents of the GEM Girls find this meeting very useful and positive because this opportunity provides them a platform to ask questions and share thoughts so that the parents and teachers can become partners in the girls’ learning and progress journey.
The session not only motivated the girls but also reinforced their commitment to their educational and personal growth.
In the evening of the same day, the GEM Girls were also taken to Ambedkar Bhawan for a movie. They watched ‘Finding Nemo’ and enjoyed it to their fullest and their faces were lit up with impish glee.
